Balance of Good/Bad Energy
I read one of the first posts I had on tumblr & it triggered some thought:
But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?
- Mark Twain
For those of you who don’t believe in God or Satan - cool. But minus religion, we could definitely credit energy. Good & bad mana. Say if we were in a world where we all tried to keep ourselves (or our children) from any harm, be it physical or emotional, what would we gain by trying to protect our innocence? Without first allowing your kid make mistakes, how would they learn a parents knowledge? Without first fighting a cold, how would our body gain a stronger immune system? Without first having our hearts broken, how would we ever learn compassion? Without first experiencing a fracture, how will our bones heal stronger? After all, we all learn the most through experience.
We pray for certain shit to go our favor all the time. But we never credit the bad energy for the good things that have happened in our lives. Sounds silly, but instead of dreading, how about praying (or hoping) for it? No not hoping that bad shit would happen to you so you can achieve growth, but moreover hoping that an anticipated trial is life’s will and that it will grant you acceptance.
Why doesn’t it make sense to protect yourself over and over? Good and bad - You can’t have one without the other. Its funny how we are resistant to life’s stupid shit, yet its essential. But instead of worrying over your troubles, consider that where you’re at in life is where you need to be. Why do I believe that the universe works for the benefit of you? I’ve learned through experience that every decision I’ve made had to be the right one… even if ironically it was a mistake. Because inevitably you grow from your mistakes, and they, in some way shape or form, are beneficial to your growth all together. I just thought I’d speak on this & shed a new perception on the benefits of what people consider to be “bad”, as it was a thought that rose from the quote.
